meet juba!
4-year-old Juba finds his way to us due to some neurological issues that make it hard for his current owners to keep him. He was diagnosed with cerebellar hypoplasia (non-progressive) at 6 months of age which makes him unsteady on his feet. Juba is With his size (over 80 lbs) and poor coordination he is a little much for the toddlers in the family.
He doesn’t care for slick surfaces or long staircases and really just prefers to be snuggling with his people. His condition does not allow him to sit, he can only stand or lay down. He can walk around just fine on his own but once he starts running, he cannot stop quickly and may fall over.
Juba is a VERY friendly and loving dog but he will need to be the only pet in the home. He is kid friendly and we suggest he go to a home with older children. Juba is house and crate trained and an overall hunk.
He’s also a bit of a diva and has to have fresh water throughout the day!
Juba will require a special and patient home, we know it’s out there somewhere. If you have any questions about Juba please email adopt@theproperpitbull.org or fill out an adoption application.
